Starting my day with coffee milk. Many times I drink coffee, various taste and drinking experience come with it. It is  never come to my mind before, what coffee am I drinking is, where did it come from and how was it prepared before poured into my coffee cup. I guess, some of peoples are also the same.

In brief,
there are two most commonly coffee species grown and consumed :

1. Arabica and (Coffea arabica)
2. Robusta (Coffea canephora)

Both of them are different in taste, in flavor and characters of their grown. Arabica has stronger flavor and also better in taste while Robusta is preferred for it’s economic value as this coffee can grow in various environment and wider range of altitude and rather earlier in first harvest time.

Before drinking coffee...
Coffee cherries what contain coffee bean inside was picked from their trees then it proceed to its skin and pulp removal process. Wet and dry method are two ways of this skin and pulp removal process. Next, coffee bean resulted from the skin and pulp removal process will move to the drying process. The purpose of drying process is  decrease its moisture level. The dried coffee then go to roasting process which will make stronger flavor characteristic of the coffee, it change the color and increase the taste and smell of the coffee.  Decaffeination is an optional process (some coffee production do not do it) that put into the course  before roasting process.

Now, the coffee is ready to be brewed and served in your cup.

So what coffee do you drink?
